Driven by our founder Moritz and a SALT original production, Rooted in Flavour is a feature series that dives deep into the realities of where great food truly comes from and the many ways it can be served.
It shows the producers and their farms, the processors, shopkeepers and the kitchens that at the end bring the food onto the plate.
Set in some of the world’s most stunning regions like Tuscany, Ireland and Greece, Rooted in Flavour is a global journey to discover the meanings and origins of some of the most enjoyed foods worldwide.
Featuring in our first season focused on aquaculture are well known aquaculture content creator James Sibley and our founder Moritz Mueller as a chef and farmer. They take us deep into the various species that aquaculture features and visit the very best farms and production regions in the world to answer the most important question that has defined humanity from day one: Do I want to eat that?
