Sensor
Globe

A salmon-farming sensor company traded generic ‘fish welfare’ messaging for a precise value story.

Starting point

“Sensor Globe's current branding and messaging feel too generic (e.g., 'fish welfare'), and the team wants a more precise, value-driven message.”

The challenge: communicate value without dwelling on the industry problems (mortality rates) that farmers already know and don't want restated.

Sensor Globe 1st meeting, 18 Feb 2025 - meeting notes

Discussion with the team

  1. 19 Feb

Company keeps the “Sensor Globe” name. Core statement direction set: “Keeping fish alive during mission-critical operations.” A new colour direction established with the team.

    2nd meeting

  2. 21 Feb

Scope locked: full style guide, no logo change, add the yellow highlight, and rename the “Crowding Companion” product line away from its generic placeholder.

    3rd meeting

Chosen direction

“We kept the logo as it was and let colour do the work. Aureolin is meant to look like sunlight breaking through the surface of the water, and it picks up the yellow on the equipment farmers already see on site. One highlight colour ended up tying the brand, the product and the farm together.”

Anandi, Creative Direction

“Salmon farmers know their mortality numbers better than anyone, so opening with the problem would have told them nothing new. We built every message around what the sensors give them during crowding and delousing: precision, efficiency and better decision-making capability. Renaming the product ‘Crowding Companion’ put that value in the name itself.”

  3. Final (“Crowding Companion”)

Locked positioning: “Brand Essence: Precision. Efficiency. Empowerment.”
